About Us
Patchwork Training was started by Marianne Tembey in October 2005. Marianne has always loved animals and has had her own dogs and horses for most of her life and wanted to share her positive experiences with others.
Patchwork Training is committed to fun and friendly training of dogs. The emphasis in all our classes, for both dogs and owners, is FUN! All training is reward based and each dog is treated as an individual and their needs assessed before including them in the appropriate class.
Marianne regularly attends training courses to ensure she is up to date with the latest techniques and information. She is also an Agility Club Approved Instructor and is registered with the British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers. For some examples of Marianne’s qualifications please see below.

Our Training Fields in Lavendon and Hargrave are well equipped with the latest agility equipment and surrounded by dog-proof fencing so that dogs are free to run around and play safely. The Village Hall where we hold Thursday evening classes is also fully enclosed.
Socialising is a big part of our training, for the owners as well as the dogs! We actively encourage positive play and often incorporate this in our training methods. We also encourage outside socialising by arranging events such as Beach Walks - please see our Events Page for further details of upcoming events.
